"TOUCH THOSE IN NEED"In 1882, Father Michael J. McGivney, an assistant pastor at St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut, founded the Order of the Knights of Columbus. The first principle of our order is “Charity”. In the last 31 years, our council through the hard work and dedication of those working with the 50/50 tickets, the Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner, the Mental Retardation Drive, the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon and all the other charitable fundraisers, we have been able to give nearly 8 3/4 million dollars to charity. For 2009, our charitable contributions were $86,621.34. May God bless all of you for your assistance in helping Robert H. Jones “Touch Those in Need”.
